ABOUT
MICHELLE DAVIS
Michelle Davis is a lifelong Johnson County resident, wife, mom, and former Division I athlete who has built her life around faith, family, and service. A small businesswoman and Director of Adult Education at Central Nine Career Center, Michelle has dedicated her career to helping Hoosiers succeed. Today, she serves Johnson County in the Indiana House of Representatives, where she has fought to protect female athletes, strengthen school choice, and expand career training opportunities. She also serves on the Board of Governors for the Indianapolis Children’s Dyslexia Center, and is proud of her family’s deep ties to both education and the trades.

MICHELLE
ON THE ISSUES
As a former Division I athlete, Michelle knows the importance of fair competition. She led the fight to protect female athletes by ensuring biological boys cannot compete in girls’ sports — passing her first bill over a governor’s veto and later expanding those same protections through college athletics. Michelle will always stand up for women and girls on and off the court.
PROTECTING FEMALE ATHLETES
Michelle believes every child deserves the education path that fits them best. As a mom, she has lived this truth — sending one child to private school and another to public school because that’s what was best for each. She has been a champion for school choice and has worked to expand career and technical education so Hoosier students are prepared for success, whether they go to college or straight into the workforce.

Michelle is a lifelong supporter of the Second Amendment. Growing up in the country, she was raised around firearms and understands both their responsibility and importance. She firmly believes the right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental freedom that protects families, communities, and our nation. In addition to defending Hoosiers’ constitutional carry rights, Michelle has gone a step further by helping men and women of all ages learn firearm safety. Each year, she organizes and hosts training opportunities with certified instructors so that more people can confidently and safely exercise their Second Amendment rights.

Michelle believes every life is a gift from God and deserves protection. In the legislature, she has stood firmly for the unborn, supporting legislation that affirms Indiana’s pro-life values. She voted to restrict abortion access and supported measures with the strongest protections possible. She also recognizes that building a culture of life means supporting mothers, families, and children. She has been a consistent advocate for policies that help strengthen families and provide resources for those facing unplanned pregnancies. For Michelle, defending life is a moral obligation, one she has carried with conviction as a legislator and as a mother.

Michelle’s life experiences, from raising a family and running a small business to surviving financial hardship when her husband was injured, give her a deep understanding of the struggles Hoosiers face. She has stood strong for parental rights, medical freedom, the unborn, and the Second Amendment, always putting Hoosier families first.

Michelle has recently worked with President Trump’s administration, including leaders like Lee Zeldin, to push back against harmful federal overreach from agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency. She has been engaged on the issue of diesel truck regulations and the DEF system, standing with Hoosier truckers, farmers, and small business owners against burdensome mandates that drive up costs and threaten jobs.
